Getting Lost

Ever go on one of those rides in which you have no predetermined length or distance in mind. You just go out to ride until either it is too dark to see or you have simply ran yourself out of energy? I had one of those experiences on Saturday last weekend. I just started my ride in the midst of the afternoon and just rode until about 8:00 at which time I could not feel my legs. Even though I had my powertap I estimate that I must have done something of 130 miles at a very easy 17 mile average. Nothing too hard in which I required loads of water but I still made a few stops in some deserted towns south of Indianapolis. It was during this ride that I got the chace to continue thinking about some things that I have had on my mind and as well as thinking about some upcoming races that are on the schedule. If you have never had the chance to do that I would highly recomend it. It allows you to clear your mind and really enjoy seme far out areas that you probably never would have had the chance to see on your bike. By the wayy my workout for the day called for 1:30 hours of endurance pace. I think that 8 hours at recovery pace should have that covered.
