Class room progress for money
Are we reaching a point in education that students have to be bribed to do better in class by giving them money for doing good on a test or quiz. Schools in New York are experimenting with this idea and it seems to be helping. Grade point averages and attendance are up in the schools since students are being rewarded for doing their homework and doing well on tests and quiz's. What really ever happened to the day when you were expected to do well on a test and did not have to bribed into studying for a reading, math, or basic knowledge that you need to succeed in life. Why do students need to receive a cell phone form the parents for getting an A on a test. Is this really how we should be teaching students?
